Mira stood under the platform light. The train was late again. She almost texted Jonah — then put the phone away.

The platform smelled like wet iron. She counted the tiles between her boots and the yellow line — something to do with her hands that wasn’t the phone.

Somewhere down the line a horn sounded — long, then gone. She kept the letter in her coat and did not look at the clock again.

Questions

Do I need an account?

Not to write locally. An account is for cloud sync and online CoAuthor.

Where do books live?

On this Mac under Application Support (SQLite + a media folder for photos). Time Machine backs that folder up with the rest of the Mac.

Intel Macs?

This build is Apple Silicon only (M1 or later). The web desk works in any modern browser.

Is the Mac app free?

The local writing desk is free. CoAuthor is a subscription. Typewriter desk plans are the same as the web. See Pricing.

What about Press, covers, audio?

Those rooms live in Cloud desk in the same Typewriter.app window when you sign in. Local is the offline binder.
