## What is a Typewriter device?

A Typewriter device is a distraction-free writing machine for authors: mechanical keys, an e-ink page (or your iPad in the Keyboard mill), and TypewriterOS that only writes and reads. Send puts the chapter into the Typewriter app — binder, bible, map — not a dump folder. CoAuthor does not run on the glass.

The app is the desk in your browser — binder, bible, map, CoAuthor. TypewriterOS is what runs on our e-ink: write and read, nothing else. Same book. Two rooms.

### Is this a Freewrite?

Same job: make you draft. Difference: theirs syncs to a dump folder. Ours syncs into the manuscript you already keep — binder, bible, map.

### Is this a Boox?

Boox is an Android tablet with e-ink. Apps still live there. Ours has no apps. You write. You read. CoAuthor stays on the computer.

### Can I read on it?

Yes. Typewriter and Go read the book you are writing — typeset, like paper. Keyboard: the iPad in the mill is your reader. Not a Kindle store.

### Do I need the app?

The keyboard works as a Bluetooth board on any computer. To keep the book as one book, you use the Typewriter app. Typewriter and Go run TypewriterOS on the e-ink.

### Will a Kindle attach?

It can sit in the Keyboard slot as a paperweight. It cannot take a Bluetooth keyboard. Amazon only allows Kindle Bluetooth for audio. Use iPad, iPhone, Android, Fire, or Mac.
