Your manuscripts are yours

Everything you write in Typewriter belongs to you. We do not read, sell, license, or use your manuscripts for any purpose other than providing the service. We never train AI models on your writing. Period.

Data storage

Your data is stored on Convex cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Manuscripts, story bibles, and account data are kept in secure, isolated databases. We maintain regular backups to prevent data loss.

What we collect

• •Account info — email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
• •Usage analytics — page views, feature usage, and session duration to improve the product.
• •Payment info — processed securely through Stripe. We never store card numbers.

What we don't do

• •We never train AI on your manuscripts or writing.
• •We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
• •We never access your manuscripts unless you explicitly request support.

Cookies & analytics

We use OpenPanel for privacy-friendly analytics. This helps us understand which features writers use most so we can improve the product. We do not run third-party ad trackers. Essential cookies are used for authentication and session management.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your manuscripts, story bibles, and personal data are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
