Seed people who can break the plot
Add protagonist, antagonist, and anyone who can lie, love, or kill continuity. Skip the tavern extras until they matter.
If you would not notice if they swapped names, they do not need a node yet.

Draw the bonds that constrain scenes
Allies. Exes. Blood. Debt. Secrets. Label links in plain language. Future you will not decode cute icons at 1am.
