> Play in NovelAI when generation is the product. Write in Typewriter when the file must become a book you own on a Contabo shelf with CoAuthor that waits for Accept.

## Toy vs desk

NovelAI optimizes for continuing a yarn. Typewriter optimizes for binder, continuity notes, and Instant Auto toward export.

## FAQ

### Is Typewriter a NovelAI clone?

No. Typewriter is Book Author on CloudCrew — manuscript first, AI optional.

### Can I turn AI off?

Yes. Write on the manuscript with CoAuthor off; tokens only spend when you ask.

### Where does the book live?

On your Contabo Book Author shelf — chapters, bible, and export — not a disposable generation chat.
