> Leave one-machine life without losing the book. Bring a draft home, map the bible, then write on the cloud desk.

## Steps

1. **Export** — From Scrivener, export DOCX or plain chapters you can import.
2. **Create the book** — On Typewriter, start a manuscript on the Book Author shelf.
3. **Import** — Bring the draft in, then split or tidy chapters on the desk.
4. **Bible** — Add cast and world notes beside the page so CoAuthor can stay consistent.
5. **Write** — Continue with CoAuthor off, or turn it on with Accept-gated edits.

## What transfers well

Prose and structure. Deep Scrivener compile presets may need a fresh export path on Typewriter.

## FAQ

### Do I need to finish Scrivener first?

No. Move when multi-device or CoAuthor matters more than local compile.
